Ma is coming 1 !!!
With only a month left for the Sharodiya Durgotsav (Read more about it here) I decided to pay a visit to the local kumar tuli, the place where the potters make the clay idols of Goddess Durga. This is what the idol initially looks like before it is painted and adorned with embellishments. Made of rough clay this a beautiful masterpiece. I will be posting atleast one every week till the end of Puja..... and yeah she does have a lot of hands...... ten in total!!!

Beautifully subject to photograph.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the natural shadows are too dark. The natural light has caused one hot spot in the upper right hand corner. The latter is not critical.
Fill light in post-processing may help.

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful capture! The serenity in her face is enlightening. Great work by the artists, both the one with the hammer and the chisel and the one with the camera! :) Keep at it, it would be truly fascinating to have one picture every week!
